Ione Parkin and Gillian McFarland have developed a body of artwork in connection with astronomers, cosmologists and planetary geologists. They have asked me to join them to research and find inspiration in the wonders of the Royal Astronomical Society Library. www.creativityandcuriosity.com.
Royal Astronomical Society event, Fun Palaces, October 6th, Burlington House, London. Ione Parkin will be giving talks on the project, I will be there for Q&A with my books.
Exhibition, Newark Houses Museum, Leicester, March/April 2019 with Creativity and Curiosity in British Science Week.
Found on the Isthmus World Book Night 2018. This book is a collection of fifty responses by international artists to the short story 'Watching God' by China Miéville. The work will join Tate Britain's artists book collection.
Graduate Prize Winner Turn The Page 2018. Joint winner with Lena Wurz. Invited to exhibit at Turn The Page, May 2019.
My Dear Frankenstein, 2018. This work is in the Liverpool Book Art exhibition on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. May 14th - August 2018, Liverpool Central Library and Kirkby Gallery, Knowsley, September 2019.
2017 Highlights:
Awarded an MA in Multidisciplinary Printmaking, (Distinction, with Clifford Moss Prize) from UWE, 2017.
Love and Toothache, 2017, a first aid kit in text and images for the Wife of Bath was on display at the Bodelian's Weston Library a in 'Redesigning the Medieval Book' at then at UWE Bower Ashton Library until June, 2018.
Confined to the Library, 2017 commissioned for, and presented to, the VIce-Chancellor of Bristol University destined to be the first book into the new University Library.
The Painter's Daughter, 2017 has been bought for the Bower Ashton library at UWE with a further copy bought for the Centre for Fine Print Research at Bristol.
Two of the books here, Uccello's Formula II and Uccello's Woman, have been bought by the fabulous Reed Contemporary Books and can be seen on their website, click on my name under Artists Books.
